Hydrogen Sparks Innovation in Brussels

As the Northern Netherlands, home to Europe’s first Hydrogen Valley, we were thrilled to represent our region alongside colleagues from Provincie Groningen and Provincie Drenthe during the EU Hydrogen Week. EU Hydrogen Week in Brussels is a key event for the hydrogen industry, bringing together leaders, policymakers, and innovators. It features talks, networking, and exhibitions showcasing the latest in hydrogen tech, like fuel cells and hydrogen-powered vehicles. It’s all about driving progress in clean energy and meeting climate goals​.

Regional Collaboration in Focus
We proudly represented regions during the Regional Pillar of Hydrogen Europe, discussing priorities for the year ahead and strengthening partnerships to accelerate the hydrogen transition.

Engaging with Key Stakeholders
Our Commissioner of the King, René Paas, had a productive meeting with Valerie Bouillion-Delporte from the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. Excited to continue this collaboration!

Building a Green Workforce
We saw the Green Skills for Hydrogen project in action and are proud of the Northern Netherlands’ role in cultivating a skilled workforce for Europe’s Hydrogen Economy.

Driving Regional Innovation
In a session hosted by Provincie Groningen, we explored how regional cooperation is fueling the hydrogen revolution and paving the way for the much needed advancements.
